Why this petition matters

Started by Iran Change

The Islamic Regime of Iran and its related individuals in the UK are to be held accountable for the murder of protesters. The protests in Iran have been going on for more than many weeks.

Security forces have repeatedly used unlawful force. They have fired live ammunition and metal pellets at protesters at close range, misused tear gas and water cannons, and severely beaten people with batons. Since Mahsa’s death, we have recorded the deaths of more than 200 men, women and over 23 children. Hundreds of others have sustained severe and painful injuries, including at least two who have been blinded in one or both eyes. Most are not seeking hospital treatment for fear of arrest, increasing the risk of infection and other health complications. Iranian authorities are shutting down the Internet to hide their crimes.

Undoubtedly, this regime must be overthrown as soon as possible and replaced with a democratic one where people can freely express their opinions without fear of being killed or imprisoned by the government.

We call upon the Chancellor of the Exchequer to pass the Magnitsky act against Iran so that those responsible for murdering, injuring, torturing, arresting, imprisoning and banning people from protesting can be brought to justice in an international court. These funds should be given to those oppressed who have gone on strike against these oppressions. Funds will be formed to help Iranian strikers.

We also call for confiscating their relative assets who live anywhere outside of Iran.
This petition will be sent to UK’s Parliament after it reaches 100k signatures.
