The local community and the 1700 nurses at RWJUH urge Governor Phil Murphy to take a proactive stance rather than maintaining neutrality in advocating for safe staffing! 

• It is our collective plea that Governor Phil Murphy aligns himself with the nurses' cause to secure staffing levels, thereby urging RWJUH to uphold its ethical responsibility towards the well-being of patients and the community.

The dedicated workforce of 1700 nurses from Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey, has embarked on a strike! Represented by the United Steel Workers Union Local 4-200, these nurses have been on strike for more than 50 days!

• The primary focal point of this strike pertains to the establishment of safe and appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios.
• A multitude of extensive studies and comprehensive literature reviews consistently affirm that maintaining safe nurse-to-patient ratios undeniably enhances patient outcomes.
