Cougar Safe Rides is a pillar of the Pullman Community. Safe rides prevent sexual assault and drunk driving without a financial barrier to entry, making it accessible to all who made need it. Nationally, safe ride programs are implemented in campus safety plans.

Because of a set of complex issues, relating to campus S+A fee allocations at Washington State University, Cougar Safe Rides is at risk for drastically reduced services or even suspending their service. The signatures collected here will be used to demonstrate why ample Cougar Safe Rides S+A allocations are necessary. The allocations are necessary to pay staff who provide safe rides, recruit volunteers and maintain vehicles.

Without Cougar Safe Rides, students will undoubtedly be put in danger. It is neglect of the WSU student body. It is the responsibility of WSU administration to keep their students safe first and foremost.
