Why this petition matters

Started by Dylan Summers

Heads up! The State of New York is quietly trying to ban the sale of CBD products and other hemp-based goods.

The New York Cannabis Control Board (CCB) abruptly introduced emergency regulations with the intent to address “intoxicating cannabinoid hemp products” in the state. Practically, however, the new regulations stand to eliminate access to efficacious full spectrum CBD products that millions rely on every day to help with pain, sleep, stress, anxiety, inflammation, and for overall wellness. The emergency regulations make the sale of any hemp product containing even nominal amounts of naturally occurring hemp THC illegal in New York.

While we continue to fight for your right to access the CBD products you have come to love and depend on, we plead that anyone able to step up and share their voice do so now. Signing this petition is a small, easy step to effect change and protect access to these life-changing products.

We’re asking that you please sign this petition. Please also comment on this petition, especially if you are a New York resident, to share how these detrimental regulations will impact your life.

We are challenging these regulations in Court and with the New York Cannabis Control Board; we believe your support will help the Court and the CCB understand the importance of this issue.

We also compel you to share your own experience with hemp products on social media using the hashtag #MyHempStory. Tell lawmakers and regulators how hemp-derived, full spectrum CBD products have had a lasting impact on your lives and how eliminating your access to them will be unfair and unnecessary.

Together, we can prevent this travesty! Sign this petition to let lawmakers know how important hemp is to you.
