【香港人不承認李家超為特首   |  Hongkongers refuse to recognize John Lee Ka-chiu as the Chief Executive 】

(Please roll down for the English version)

We refuse to recognise the Chief Executive who is not authorised by Hongkongers. On 1st of July 2022, when John Lee Ka-chiu swears allegiance to the CCP to become the Chief Executive, Hong Kong will be plunging into a police state that suppresses Hongkongers with violence and draconian laws.

The unelected Lee was a puppet Chief Executive appointed by Beijing in the name of an 'improved electoral system'. Among the 7.4 million population of Hong Kong, only 1,461 Election Committee members have the right to vote. Lee received 99% of the votes numerically. However, a tracking poll released by the HKPORI in March this year showed that Lee’s support rate as Chief Secretary for Administration was negative 14 %. In fact, Lee's actual vote rate is less than 0.0001974324%.

‘Article 45 of the Basic Law’ states: "The method for selecting the Chief Executive shall be determined in accordance with the actual conditions of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the principle of gradual progress, and ultimately achieve the goal of universal suffrage after nomination by a broadly representative nominating committee in accordance with democratic procedures. " Similar to the Sino-British Joint Declaration, the CCP treats them as historical documents, and the CCP regime has turned a deaf ear to all of its obligations.

John Lee Ka-chiu, a former policeman, does not have the authorisation of the people. He indulged his subordinates to touture Hongkongers lawlessly, instructing them to suppress Hongkongers with brutal means and abuse the law to make arbitrary arrests on Hongkongers.  A latest research released by the Hong Kong Democracy Council revealed that since the anit-extradition bill protest broke out in June 2019, more than 10,501 political arrests have been made. 2,974 political defendants have been prosecuted. And among the 1,815 trials that have concluded, the conviction rate is 67%. Hundreds of people have been remained in custody for more than a year awaiting trial.

We reiterate that Hongkongers refuse to recognise John Lee ka-chiu as the Chief Executive. We also refuse to recognise the dictatorship of the CCP. Hong Kong is Hong Kong. Hong Kong is not China.
