Why this petition matters

Started by Merie S.

ELI from Spire is the oldest of four in an all-male orphaned family of rich kids. He drinks from jam jars, hand-sews sweaters for each of his siblings, and locks himself in his study all day, only coming out to lecture them about using too much hot water, prevent them from getting into fistfights with politicians, and make them eat spilled food off the floor so as not to waste their resources. Keep in mind that they are the heirs of an extremely successful gold-mining company.

GELSEY from the Skybright Chronicle is a secretary who has been filing an entire kingdom's paperwork by herself for one hundred years, neither aging nor napping. Her only company is an ancient gardener and an insane prince, and she would like someone else to cook for her. After a century of this and memorizing old law books in her free time, she has become forgetful and absent-minded and very, very sleepy.

GAVRIL from Gilded Blood is a recently-crowned king surrounded by the usual unpleasant circle of royal council members. He also has a sister who believes that the sole duty of a princess is to find trouble for the king, because war and being hounded daily by advisors should at least be a manageable task. His taste in music resembles that of a tween in the early 2010's.

Why have these three characters, who in a more normal world could have been more normal young adults, been so strangely affected? The answer lies in Stress. It should also be noted that it is possible to die of stress.

This petition seeks change in giving these people a stress-free holiday, perhaps in the tropics, where there is no encroaching threat of an increasingly corrupt dystopian government, a kingdom falling into disrepair, or utter annihilation. Sign your name to make a difference in their lives. Remember, the fate of worlds hangs in the balance...
