Currently foreign teachers working for private schools in Taiwan are not eligible for a pension under the Taiwan Labor Laws (due to a dirty little loophole). THIS NEEDS TO CHANGE.

Since 2019 the Labor Pension has included all JFRC and APRC holders. This means that if you work at ANY job including 7/11, buxiban, public schools, kindergarten etc...

However, due to the private schools act. Teachers working for prestigious private schools in Taiwan are not eligible. This is due to the teachers being under the 'Private Schools Act' and not under the 'Labor Standards' act like every other employee. 

Under the private schools act... Only Taiwanese teachers are eligible for the Labor Pension Scheme. This is unfair and discriminatory. This needs to change immediately and shouldn't have gone on for so long.
