I am part of the CMEJ team, committed to transforming the historically exploited land at 2800 Pacific Street, Minneapolis into a community-centered Environmental Justice (EJ) center. This area, once a toxic industrial corridor, has long been mistreated and misused. Our vision is to convert it into a green industry corridor that will enhance the health and wellbeing of our North Side Community.

Our project is not just about development; it's about ethical development that respects and enhances our existing community rather than displacing them. We have identified several priorities for community benefits including Community Ownership and Voting Power, Affordable Housing, Green Energy, Accessible Jobs with Livable Wages, Transportation options as well as Emergency Preparedness Training and Education.

The transformation of this area will set an example for future developments in Minneapolis and beyond. It's time we took action against environmental injustice while promoting sustainable practices that benefit both people and planet.
