Jamie Lamont Miles, now Tekur Andessa, didn't shoot anybody, didn't kill nor did rape, didn't even scratch anybody. His armed robberies only included:

The presence of a firearm., A demand for money, The taking of the money. & Fleeing away.

"I never took a LIFE, So it's perverted justice that I was sentenced to serve (4) LIFE sentences;  Although my physical LIFE sentence was suspended, with 109 years to serve, I still have a virtual LIFE sentence. Only nine years would drop off with my earned good time with no parole."

Shalom! My name is Tekur Dalga Anbessa. I'm writing requesting that my petition for pardon be taken under serious consideration, and I be made available for prison release.

Since Oct 28th 2000, I been locked up straight for 21 YEARS, and later in 2001, I was convicted and sentenced to serve 109 years in armed robbery cases where no one was shot, killed, or scratched. Since that time, I've been rehabilitated.

In the nature of my robbery offenses, the law recently changed, but not made retroactive to apply to my cases. Because that would mean that the maximum punishment for my brand of offenses, would no longer carry a maximum of LIFE imprisonment to serve. By the Virginia General Assembly recently changing the robbery laws, only following the murder of George Floyd and in wake of the Black Lives Matter Protests, only proves that the Virginia General Assembly is subconsciously admitting.: that I never properly received "JUSTICE" in any of my criminal law cases. I was over sentenced in the nature of my offenses; where the time don't fit the crime.

As long as the Virginia flag depicts a white man stepping on another man's chest.: there will never be "JUSTICE" for Blacks in America through the court system process.

I'm currently nearly 7 and a half years institutional charge free. I've been in (2) different Honor Pods on (2) Wallens Ridge and River North institutions. And I haven't appeared back before a criminal circuit court, in OVER 20 YEARS.

The Spirit of the Holy Messiah say in HIS Word.: "If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed." John 8: 36.

I've committed my life to be unto the will of the spirit of Christ. Which is the highest form of rehabilitation.

In addition, I've graduated from college several times from Blackstone and College Guild and Bible Study school, and am a current student. And I'm a published author.

A First Generational published author in my entire family. And I currently have (2) fiction romantic novels.: I Love You and Gettin In The Game, by my writer's name Power, available on Amazon and Kindle.

More background 

He was locked up at age 25, the courts sentenced him under a robbery law and concluded he couldn't be rehabilitated, that he could never be fit again to be put back in society. But the courts and the law got it wrong.

Since he was sentenced in 2001, he has made improvements to consecrate his life to god, which is the highest morality of man. He has bettered himself with education, even though VDOC does not provide rehabilitation programs to prisoners. He has been institutional infraction free. He is now a man of integrity.

He reflects:

" I was young and insecure with who I was as a husband and a father and about who to trust with the problem-solving techniques for having a failing marriage and family. I falsely felt that more money would preserve the integrity of my marriage and family. And that's what culminated me out in the streets amongst wrong street thugs that I portrayed as friends. "

Despite all of this, he is condemned to die by the Virginia Department of Corrections. He prays that this petition for absolute pardon is granted based upon his rehabilitated behavior.

He is remorseful for his past and wants to work on saving the lives of the children. With all these random mass shootings and senseless acts of crime and violence happening throughout various parts of the United States; these kids need to know that there are positive options that oppose gangs, guns, and violence. They need to learn the right agendas to circumvent the trajectory of poverty to prison.
