The residents of Branchburg believe a lighted, multipurpose turf field in White Oak Park will provide multiple benefits to the children; in terms of greater access to local, high quality practice and game facilities in the same park as other events occur.

Completion of this project would bring Branchburg to a more competitive level with sports, resulting in higher enrollment numbers for our in-town organizations; while contributing field rental revenue to the township from other towns’ interest in the facility.

In building the field, local organizations who will use the field, would provide support in the way of annual funding toward regular maintenance and eventual replacement of the field surface.

Action requested is for the Branchburg Township Committee to support funding for the project anticipating financial support from county, state, and federal agencies along with local businesses and families. 

The Mayor will be discussing the project with the Township over the next several weeks, and it has been added as an agenda item for the Public Portion of the December 13th Township Committee Meeting,
