It has been more than 100 days since the murder of Jina "Mahsa" Amini by the Islamic Republic of Iran's so-called morality police. This event has been the spark for the current revolution that is taking place in Iran. Non-violent protesters are being executed, tortured, and wrongfully imprisoned. People in Iran do not have regular access to the internet, so members of the diaspora must be the voice of their demands.

Moving forward with the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), also known as the Iran nuclear deal will empower the Islamic Republic to continue funding its proxies in the region to further destabilize the Middle East. It also enables the regime to equip Russia with more drones to attack and kill Ukrainians. The U.S. Foreign Relations Committee is crucial in putting pressure on the Senate and the President in regard to ending the JCPOA.

As members of the Independent Iranians of Boston, we are writing to request that Senator Ed Markey listens to his constituents by pursuing serious actions against the Islamic Republic of Iran. This includes walking away from the JCPOA entirely and ceasing all diplomatic negotiations with the regime. 

It has been more than three months that Iranians chanting loud and clear that this regime does NOT represent them and that any kind of deals and negotiations with them are not legitimate. A world without the Islamic Republic is a safer world for everyone. Please be our voice and stay on the correct side of history.
