Hi all,

the Gold Coast football club was established in 2007 founded by the consortium GC17. 
the AFL’s 17 active team.

in 2009 the Gold Coast Football club played in the U18s TAC cup

the Following year 2010 the VFL

and graduated into the AFL in 2011.

 

since the very beginning the Gold Coast Suns have had many changes.

coaches, presidents, admin, high performance staff and last but not least players.

one would say most were due to lack of success, the club itself and Football in QLD has growth exponentially.

one of the very few remaining pieces of Gold Coast football clubs very beginning is its “GC” logo jersey.

predominantly bright red jumper with a yellow “GC” logo

The Gold Coast Football club have moved on 2 coaches and never played finals football.

Whilst  the Greater western Sydney Football club who joined the AFL after the Gold Coast Suns Football club have played finals multiple times.

the Suns best finish to date 10 wins and a ladder position of 12th in season 2014

I for one are in the belief the Suns jumper is the worst/ugliest in the competition and as the club itself has not had any success wearing it.

There’s very little emotional or historical connection to it.

I’m not against the colours of Red, gold/Yellow  white and blue.

just believe there are better ways to utilise the colours and the style of the jersey itself.

I for one generally find the training jerseys a better look then the actual home jersey.

join in the fight to get the Gold Coast Football club to alter its jersey for the 2023 season.
