After 10 years of numerous DLCs, Expansions, Upgrades, and Fixes to Payday 2, Payday 3 was announced and released.  Featuring cross-compatibility between PC and the latest-gen Consoles this game was the first in its series to have the potential audience that it does, and as such was reliant on a successful launch day.

  Starbreeze Studios and Overkill were hoping to prevent the inability to play on launch day by having not one, but TWO technical BETA tests wherein - especially on the latter - they attempted to "overload their servers."  Unfortunately they had one massive oversight in that the 2nd Technical Beta wasn't available to every platform that would be able to play the game on Launch Day.  As expected, the end result was a launch day that resulted in numerous reports of persons being unable to play.

  Unfortunately the launch day was completely "scuffed" (messed up) by being plagued with players unable to "matchmake" (Find a server to play on.)  Some players have reportedly spent hours in the "waiting room" (a loading screen where it says "looking for match") even when trying to play single-player.    Obviously this is an issue that was easily preventable.  On one hand they should have made the Technical BETA test open to every platform for proper testing (or at least had proper estimations of what types of traffic they would have had; which they obviously didn't.) However, on the other hand they could have just as easily included an offline single-player mode, which would have at least circumvented the inability to play a game the first day it was released.

This petition seeks to convince Starbreeze Studios and Overkill to develop and include a single-player offline mode of gameplay wherein persons whom have purchased the game would therein be capable of actually playing the game they purchased because it's obvious that this will become a problem in the future, as it already has been and the game's only been out today (at the time of writing this petition) - several hours of which people have been unable to even play it due to it being "online-only."
