SITGES - RESPETO A LOS ANIMALES - REGULACIÓN DEL USO DE PETARDOS Y FUEGOS ARTIFICIALES PARA PROTEGERLOS ● RESPECT FOR ANIMALS! - REGULATION OF THE USE OF FIREWORKS WITH THE AIM TO PROTECT THE SAFETY OF ANIMALS.

Pedimos al ayuntamiento de Sitges una ordenanza municipal que regule el uso de productos pirotécnicos para proteger a los animales. Nos gustaría que esta ordenanza estableciera horas, lugares y actos específicos con autorización para realizar estas actividades. De esta forma, los propietarios de animales podrían tomar las medidas oportunas durante estas ocasiones para garantizar la salud de sus animales.

Los perros, gatos, aves y caballos sufren daños, a veces permanentes, en sus aparatos auditivos debido al ruido causado por los productos pirotécnicos. A estas lesiones se une el miedo, estrés y pánico que provoca en los animales el estallido de petardos y fuegos artificiales que, en muchas ocasiones, les hace huir de forma descontrolada con el consecuente riesgo de accidentes y lesiones.

Una ordenanza municipal que regule el uso de productos pirotécnicos ayudaría a evitar este tipo de daños e incidentes y permitiría honrar las tradiciones locales en armonía, como ya sucede en otras ciudedes españolas y europeas.

We ask the Sitges Town Council for a municipal ordinance on the regulation of the firing of pyrotechnic products setting certain times, places, and authorized acts with the aim of protecting the animals around us.

In the respect of coexistence and honoring local traditions, we ask that this measure be applied so that pet owners can take possible measures during the celebrations in the town of Sitges, to guarantee the health of their own animals.

We remind you that dogs, cats, birds and horses, for example, suffer from sometimes permanent damage to their hearing, fear, stress and panic, and are victims of incidents and injuries caused by uncontrolled running away due to gunshots.
