Sexual Intimidation, The Alleged Perpetrator Is Still Working In Proximity To The Victim
Why this petition matters
The story can be found here: https://nrinow.news/2022/10/24/former-assistant-files-discrimination-lawsuit-against-n-s-town-administrator/
It is not the 1st time apparently: https://www.valleybreeze.com/townnews/law/attorney-at-least-one-other-complainant-against-zwolenski/article_b0d01e38-5958-11ed-ac92-2bef4b71437d.html
The Town Council voted to have an independent investigator look into the matter. Meanwhile the alleged victim is left working in close proximity (same small building) as her alleged perpetrator. Where in the real world is this allowed to happen. The building is now a hostile work environment.
The Town Administrator should be placed on leave or moved to another town building until this suit is resolved. The Town Charter gives the Town Council the power to act as this is a mental health issue for the victim.
Powers of the Town council outlined in the Town Charter:
(3) To enact, amend or repeal rules, ordinances and resolutions for the government of the town which have to do with the preservation of the public peace, health, safety, welfare and comfort of the inhabitants and the protection of persons and property, and other municipal functions. The town council may provide reasonable penalties in accordance with the law for the violation of any ordinances;
(5) To inquire into the conduct of any office or officer, department or agency of the town;
The Town Council should place the Administrator on leave while the Courts work this out.
