On September 28, 2021, Leonel Chavez was shot and killed by a CHP officer near the corner of Medford St. and North Indiana St. Leo was unarmed when he was shot and killed.
 
Leo was a kind, loving, family man who loved working out and aspired to be fitness trainer. Leo was only twenty-four (24) when he was shot and killed. Leo left behind an older brother, mother, and father.
 
This petition seeks support in the following demands:
 
    1.    The immediate termination of the CHP officer who killed Leo; and
 
    2.    For the Department of Justice to file murder charges against the CHP officer who killed Leo.
