Please help us protect this precious green space, for everyone, so that it can be shared happily and easily between humans and horses.

Ealing Riding School & Gallivanters Stable Meadow is the urban home & turnout of 40 horses and over 50,000 visitors that flow through the gates every year, both riders (abled and disabled, child and adult, novice and advanced) and non-riders coming to enjoy the company of horses, and the unique fitness and well-being therapy they provide. Plus, a workforce of over a thousand adult and teenage volunteers, vet & school placement students, and a regular staff of 70.

Back in 1986, almost 40 years ago, the Stables was founded with the discarded horses from the Rothschild Gunnersbury estate and the redundant ponies from the Acton & Chiswick dairy & coal carts.

The Landlord's (Transport for London) Short Lease policy stops much needed development of the stables and investment in horse welfare and adult & child education. It also leaves the site severely exposed to Ealing Council’s planning & building policies.

On a previous time of threat, Buckingham Palace directly intervened for us on behalf of the late Queen Elizabeth II.

Now the Stables need your help. Successive short leases mean the benefits of this unique free space could be lost to an increasingly high-rise house-bound neighbourhood.

We need your help to change that by asking Transport for London/ Ealing Council for security for the Stables!
