Il pacifismo non può restare in silenzio, non nel ventunesimo secolo. Gandhi ce l’ha insegnato: ci si può opporre alla guerra senza accettare la contrapposizione armata. Egli offriva la sua presenza fisica, il suo corpo disarmato per fermare i britannici in armi che occupavano il suo Paese.

Come donne e come uomini che desiderano vivere in pace, chiediamo al governo italiano, ai governi degli altri Paesi e soprattutto all’ONU di seguire il suo esempio e di prendere posizione in modo chiaro e coraggioso per porre fine immediatamente alla guerra in Ucraina e per allontanare il pericolo di una terza guerra mondiale, certamente nucleare. Avanziamo per questo una proposta: l’ONU, il cui scopo principale è mantenere la pace nel mondo, imponga innanzitutto al presidente della Federazione Russa Vladimir Putin di porre fine al massacro crudele e inammissibile del popolo ucraino. D’altra parte, pur riconoscendo il pieno diritto dell’Ucraina a difendersi con la straordinaria capacità di resistenza, che sta dimostrando, l’ONU chieda al presidente Zelensky, capo di un governo legittimo in carica, di tentare una via diversa da quella delle armi e di convocare i governi di tutto il mondo a una Conferenza di Pace a Kiev, con tutti i capi di stato presenti fisicamente sul posto per dare il via a un confronto che cambi le regole della convivenza fra i popoli sul pianeta Terra.

CHIEDIAMO A TUTTI I CAPI DI STATO DI CONVERGERE DI PERSONA IN UCRAINA E RESTARE SU QUEL TERRITORIO FINCHÉ SARÀ NECESSARIO: NESSUNO OSERÀ BOMBARDARE I CAPI DI STATO RIUNITI. Se i Paesi di tutto il mondo vogliono dimostrare di non essere soltanto asserragliati sui propri interessi e sugli interessi delle multinazionali, sbandierando la pace senza agire veramente per ottenerla, devono accogliere questo appello: SI RIUNISCANO TUTTI IN CONFERENZA DI PACE NELLA CAPITALE UCRAINA. Soltanto questo può portare a un reale cessate il fuoco e costituire inoltre un’occasione per concordare le regole della convivenza pacifica fra i popoli in ogni luogo della Terra, uscendo dalla logica degli imperi e delle zone d’influenza.

Questa conferenza di pace dovrebbe infatti portare a: 
-        riconoscere il diritto all’indipendenza e all’autodeterminazione dei popoli sul loro territorio e concordare gli strumenti che lo garantiscano effettivamente;
-        mettere al bando ovunque le armi nucleari;
-        prendere in considerazione l’appello di 50 premi Nobel, di ridurre del 2 per cento le spese militari in ogni Paese per 5 anni, appello ratificato dal consiglio comunale di Padova, destinando i fondi risparmiati alla salute e al benessere dei propri cittadini e alla cooperazione internazionale;
-        dichiarare inammissibile il principio secondo cui un Paese può asservirne un altro pretendendo di avere una propria “zona d’influenza”, essendo questa una inaccettabile limitazione della libertà dei popoli;
-        che le donne siano parte attiva ai tavoli delle trattative.

Pacifism cannot be silent, not in the XXI century. Gandhi taught us that. You can oppose war without accepting the armed conflict. He offered his physical presence, his disarmed body to stop the British in arms who were occupying his Country. As women and men who wish to live in peace, we ask the Italian government, the government of other countries and above all the UN, to follow his example and take a clear and brave position to stop the war in Ukraine immediately, in order to keep at distance the risk of a world war, no doubt nuclear. 

In this respect we propose that: 

·       United Nations, whose paramount aim is to keep peace in the world, impose first of all to the President of Russian Federation Vladimir Putin to put an end to the cruel and inacceptable massacre of the Ukrainian people. On the other hand, while recognizing that  Ukraine is within its right to withstand with the extraordinary capacity of resistance, which it is showing, UN ask President Zelensky, head of the Ukrainian current official government, to try a different path from that of weapons and to convene a Peace Conference in Kiev with all the world governments and heads of state in presence, to set up a dialogue that changes the rules of coexistence among the peoples of planet earth.

·       We ask all the heads of state to converge in Ukraine in person and stay there for as long as necessary: NOBODY WILL DARE BOMBING THE HEADS OF STATE GATHERED THERE. If all the Countries of the world want to show that they are not barricaded in defence of their own interests and the interests of multinational companies, trumpeting about peace without really acting to achieve it, they must welcome the appeal: ALL MEET FOR A PEACE CONFERENCE IN THE CAPITAL OF UKRAINE. This is the only way to agree on a ceasefire and be also an opportunity to agree on the peaceful coexsistence among the peoples in every place of the earth, out of the logic of empires and zones of influences.

This conference should lead to:
·        recognize the right of peoples to independence and self-determination over their territories and agree on the instruments that effectively ensure it;
·       Ban nuclear weapons everywhere;
·       Take into account the appeal of 50 Noble laureates to reduce military budget of 2% for 5 years in all the countries. The appeal was ratified by Padua City Council, earmarking the saved funds for international cooperation and for the citizens’ health and welfare;
·       Declare inadmissible the principle according to which a Country can subjugate another claiming to have its own “zone of influence”, which is an intolerable restriction on peoples’ freedom. 
·       be women active participants in the negotiation tables.

Pacifizmi nuk mund të rrijë në heshtje, jo në shekullin e njëzet e një. Gandi na mëson: mund t'i kundërvihemi luftës pa kundërshtimin e armatosur. Ai ofroi praninë e tij fizike, trupin e tij të paarmatosur për të ndaluar britanikët e armatosur ndërsa pushtonin vendin e tij.

Si gra dhe burra që dëshirojnë të jetojnë në paqe, ne i kërkojmë qeverisë italiane, qeverive të vendeve të tjera dhe mbi të gjitha OKB-së që të ndjekin shembullin e tij dhe të marrin një pozitë të qartë dhe kurajoze për t'i dhënë fund menjëherë luftës në Ukrainë dhe për të shmangur rrezikun e një lufte të tretë botërore, sigurisht bërthamore. Kjo është arsyeja pse ne po bëjmë një propozim: OKB, qëllimi kryesor i së cilës është ruajtja e paqes në botë, duhet para së gjithash t'i kërkojë Presidentit të Federatës Ruse Vladimir Putin t'i japë fund masakrës mizore dhe të pa pranueshme të popullit ukrainas. Nga ana tjetër, ndërsa e kuptojmë të drejtën e plotë të Ukrainës për t'u mbrojtur me aftësinë e jashtëzakonshme për rezistencë, të cilën po e demonstron, OKB-ja duhet t'i kërkojë Presidentit Zelensky, kreu i një qeverie legjitime në detyrë, të tentojë një rrugë tjetër përveç asaj të armëve dhe të thërrasë qeveritë anembanë botës në një Konferencë paqeje në Kiev,  me të gjithë krerët e shtetit fizikisht të pranishëm në vend për të filluar një konfrontim që ndryshon rregullat e bashkëjetesës midis popujve në planetin Tokë.

U bëjmë thirrje të gjithë krerëve të shteteve të konvergojnë personalisht në Ukrainë dhe të qëndrojnë në atë territor për aq kohë sa të jetë e nevojshme: askush nuk do të guxojë të bombardojë krerët e mbledhur të shtetit. Nëse vendet anembanë botës duan të tregojnë se nuk janë vetëm të përqendruara mbi interesat e tyre dhe mbi interesat e shumëkombëshve, duke valëvitur paqen pa vepruar me të vërtetë për ta arritur atë, ata duhet të pranojnë këtë apel: LE T'I TAKOJNË TË GJITHË NË KONFERENCËN E PAQES NË KRYEQYTETIN UKRAINAS. Vetëm kjo mund të çojë në një armëpushim të vërtetë dhe gjithashtu përbën një mundësi për të rënë dakord mbi rregullat e bashkëjetesës paqësore midis popujve në çdo vend në Tokë, duke lënë logjikën e perandorive dhe zonave të ndikimit.

Kjo konferencë paqeje në fakt duhet të çojë në:
-        të njohin të drejtën për pavarësi dhe vetëvendosje të popujve në territorin e tyre dhe të bien dakord mbi veglat që e garantojnë atë në mënyrë efektive;
-        të ndalojë armët bërthamore kudo;
-        konsideroni apelin e 50 të diplomuarve të Çmimit Nobel, për të reduktuar shpenzimet ushtarake në çdo vend me 2 për qind për 5 vjet, një apel i ratifikuar nga këshilli i qytetit të Padovës, duke dhënë fondet e kursyera për shëndetin dhe mirëqenien e qytetarëve të tij dhe për bashkëpunimin ndërkombëtar;
-        shpallin të papranueshëm parimin sipas të cilit një vend mund të skllavërojë një tjetër duke pretenduar se ka "zonën e vet të ndikimit", duke qenë ky një kufizim i papranueshëm i lirisë së popujve;
-        që gratë të jenë pjesë aktive e tryezave negociuese.
