Selling wild animals as pets is just inhumane. 

Just because they are sick or injured doesn't make it any better. They deserve a chance to recover with proper care and go back to where they belong. Even if they can never be released, they deserve to be in the hands of trained avian carers. 

Organisations such as F.A.W.N.A Inc are willing to take them in and provide the right care. But DBCA has been refusing to allow FAWNA to rehabilitate our southwestern Black Cockatoos at the FAWNA Flight Academy. Instead, insisting that we send them to Perth. SO THAT THEY CAN BE DOMESTICATED AND SOLD AS PETS!!

Hon. Reece Raymond Whitby MLA. You're the one in power. You have decided that instead of protecting biodiversity and our wildlife you want  to domesticate them. But you can STILL CHANGE your decision. It's not too late. But if you don't change your decision then you should know that everyone will be rooting against you.

Hon. Reece Raymond Whitby MLA. Your position of power is subject to our votes. AND YOUR DECISION IN THIS COULD MAKE YOU AN ENERMY AGAINST WILDLIFE. 

Your idea of selling injured and sick animals as pets in unacceptable and clearly not in favor the animals. Yes, the animals can't tell us what they want, but they don't need to for us to know that this is definitely not it. So, we're asking you to PLEASE NOT TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE VOICELESS. 

These animals are critically endangered and this is not going to help their situation. 

So many animals are being abused at the hands of people. LETS NOT ADD ANOTHER SPECIES TO THAT LIST. 

Injured animals (especially wild animals) are stressed animals. Trying to introduce wild animals to people and a different environment is only going to increase their stress. THIS IS UTTERLY CRUEL, UNACCEPTABLE AND DISGUSTING. As a Minister who's supposed to protect wildlife you should already know this.
