Why this petition matters

We, the undersigned, are calling on DoorDash to immediately address the issue of wage theft and lack of accountability affecting its dashers.

Currently, DoorDash operates with little to no accountability when it comes to the wages of its dashers. Many dashers have reported instances of their hard-earned money being taken without proper explanation or recourse. This is unacceptable and must be rectified.

One of the major issues contributing to this problem is DoorDash's outsourcing of customer support to third-world countries. This outsourced support often lacks the understanding and capability to effectively assist dashers. Conversations with support agents from these regions frequently end abruptly, leaving dashers with no resolution to their concerns.

Furthermore, the finality of DoorDash's decisions leaves dashers with no avenue for appeal or further discussion. This lack of transparency and communication is detrimental to the livelihoods of dashers who rely on DoorDash for income.

It is clear that DoorDash preys on individuals in vulnerable positions, exploiting their need for income by denying them rightful wages and dismissing their concerns without proper investigation or resolution.

We demand the following actions from DoorDash:

1. Establish a transparent and fair process for addressing wage disputes and discrepancies.
2. Improve customer support by ensuring that agents are adequately trained and capable of addressing dashers' concerns.
3. Implement a system for dashers to appeal decisions and receive proper explanations for wage deductions or withholdings.
4. Take accountability for any past instances of wage theft and provide restitution to affected dashers.

Join us in urging DoorDash to prioritize the well-being and fair treatment of its dashers. Together, we can bring about meaningful change and ensure that dashers are not exploited or robbed of their hard-earned wages.
