The public beaches of Bonaire are our valuable natural resource. They are enjoyed by visitors and residents alike. Unfortunately, this has resulted in large amounts of litter being left behind or not disposed of properly.

The organizations of Clean Coast Bonaire, NOBO Recycling Bonaire, and A Plastic Free Bonaire are requesting your support of this petition to keep our beaches clean and to push our government to make funds available for litter prevention.

Clean Coast Bonaire is a marine litter monitoring program that has collected over 40,000 cigarette butts and 6,000 beer bottle caps from Te Amo Beach since 2018.

NOBO Recycling Bonaire is a social enterprise and part of foundation A Plastic Free Bonaire. Education and awareness are an equally important part of NOBO’s mission to prevent type 2 plastic going to the landfill by creating well designed recycled products on Bonaire.
