Families trying to work collaboratively with Oxfordshire County Council SEND department have experienced a complete breakdown in communication, making it impossible to progress with the care and support needed for our children. 

This petition is asking OCC to review their policies around communication, and to recognise the emotional and financial toll it takes on families. Children are abandoned out of school, with no placements, no support, no education. Or are being asked to adjust to a damaging learning environment in order to fit with OCC policy. We need OCC to work with us, not against us, for the benefit of this valuable community of neuro diverse children. Current practices are unlawful, so we are calling for the OCC to fulfil their legal obligations, and provide our SEND children with appropriate education so that they may thrive.
