Lancaster Gate Tube Station is a vital transportation hub that serves thousands of commuters every day. It provides easy access to some of London's most popular tourist attractions, including Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens. Unfortunately, over the last few weeks we have seen frequent and unexpected closures, which is having a devastating impact on the local community, residents and businesses. 

The closure of Lancaster Gate Tube Station has forced local residents to use other stations, like Queensway and Paddington, that are already overcrowded and struggling to cope with demand. This has lead to longer journey times and mass disruption for residents and visitors alike. 

Transport for London have said the reason for the closure is due to staff shortages and closures in Lancaster Gate are being caused by the need to deploy staff to other priority stations in the area. 

We urge Transport to London to reconsider their approach. Stop consistently prioritising other stations over Lancaster Gate Tube Station and to better forward plan the staffing of their stations. By doing so, they will ensure that residents and visitors alike can continue to enjoy all that this vibrant part of London has to offer.
