We are under the limousine division and here are what we do.
We are proud to be the appointed transport service provider to Government Agencies and Corporations for major events in Singapore. Where punctuality is imperative, safety is paramount, and comfort cannot be compromised, you can count on STRIDES. We are the exclusive Stay-Home-Notice (SHN) transfers transport provider for Ministry of Transport (MOT).

As you all know that most of us have been affected by the pandemic, and paying rent and earning an income was difficult.

We were thankful that we could continue to work and help out during the circuit breaker and challenging period. We were driving for various government bodies such as the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Transport.

We were offered a six-month contract of $105/ Day (round to nearest dollar) with a 20% commission deduction during this period. The usual rental amount was $150/ Day. 

An hour of work =$38 
minus 20% = $38-20% = $30.40

If you worked out the maths, by committing at least 6 hours of work to SMRT, we are paying more than $150/Day rental. 

As Singapore started to ease up and we do see businesses picking up. SMRT Strides informed us that they would change the renewal contract prices. We do know this is fair, and we waited for their Announcement.

Dear Partners, there will be 2 Key Changes to Strides Rental scheme & Corp Job Support Tiers System.

Rental Scheme

- All Contract Renewal of $98 with 6 months contract will cease with immediate effect. 
- New scheme will affect partners who are due for renewal from 01st May 2022 onwards till last batch in Oct 2022.
- Scheme for renewal with existing partners will be different from Newly Join partners.

Details as follows;

Existing Hirers
- Existing PHV hirer renew with 1 year contract: Daily rent $130 (before GST)
- Existing PHV hirer renew with 6 mths contract : Daily rent $140 (before GST)

New Hirer
- New PHV hirer Sign up with 1 year contract to pay daily rent $140 (before GST)
- New PHV hirer Sign up with 2 years contract to pay daily rent $135 (before GST)

Rental Rebates: 
- Partners who managed to fulfil a min of 28/29/30 or 31 Corp Jobs in that particular month will be given 1 day rental rebate
- Disposal jobs irregardless of how many hours will be consider as 1 job count throughout your disposal period.

3rd update from the company was via individual SMS on 14th June 2022:

(StridesLimo> Dear Valued Partners, we would like to offer our early recontract package for Vellfire partners contract due on July till October'22 at 24 months contract for $150*/day. Offer valid till 30th June 2022. Interested please call Dan at XXXXXXXX

The $150* offer will be $160.50 per day and is higher than the pre-covid period. We are still driving the exact vehicle with increased petrol and daily cost. We are shocked and confused that a Company like SMRT can backtrack their offers a few times and decided to throw us under a bus.

We tried to speak with the higher management but were rejected flat and told to Private message the sales instead. The reply was that the company has over 100 people on the waitlist, and we can take it or leave it.

To conclude, we seek fairness as we have helped the company during the most challenging time but are left facepalmed by their indecisive action toward their loyal partners. We hope that the management will hear us and address our concerns.
