The city of Fort Worth passed an ordinance in 2018 which made Short Term Rental homes illegal in Fort Worth. Many residents, unaware of this ordinance, have used websites like Airbnb and VRBO to peacefully rent their homes out on a short-term basis for years but are currently being targeted by Fort Worth Code Compliance at a disproportionate rate compared to other code violations. This has resulted in loss of income for hundreds of Fort Worth residents.

We are asking that the city of Fort Worth stop the enforcement of this ordinance while the City Council researches options for revising the current ordinance, and instead focus on enforcing nuisance complaints in the rare event that they arise. We thank you for your support!
