Why this petition matters

Started by DeiJaumar Clarke

On behalf of the Tamogo Foundation along with Lewis & Associates, We are pleading to the Minister of Immigration, the IRCC & the Prime Minister to allow Olufunke Ajileye, a 32 year old mother of two along with her oldest child to be granted PR.

Olunfunke & her young daughter have health issues that need Proper medical attention & care. Olufunke had surgery on her breast a few months ago and and experienced complications afterwards which resulted in her wound becoming infected. Her daughter developed a lump on neck and now needs the proper medical attention & treatment which would involve surgery . Her daughter is also a Canadian Citizen. On Thursday August 5th, she had a meeting at CBSA and they detained her while her children were in the care of others. This by itself is really sad, especially knowing her daughter’s health and need for her mother.

Yesterday while she was at the airport for her removal, her children didn’t show up and the CBSA officer informed her that they would deport her and stated that she would never see her kids again, and also stated that her children would be given to Social Services. As a result, she experienced a mental breakdown which resulted in her fainting then being taken to emergency. Her flight got canceled, but she was informed that they would set another date for her removal. Currently she is in detention and has suicidal thoughts. We want the public to see what this is a young mother suffering from an anxiety disorder who is in desperate need for medical attention; the kind that she would not receive if sent back to her home country. Canada is better than this, Olunfunke’s child, who happens to be a Canadian Citizen also requires surgery but is now in jeopardy of being removed. To the very least any reasonable person would allow them to stay in Canada until they get proper medical attention needed to treat their health issues.
