Studies show that canned and dried dog foods contain high levels of glycotoxins, which are linked to numerous health conditions such as obesity, diabetes, poor gut health, heart disease, kidney failure and more. To improve pet welfare, we propose banning pet foods with high levels of glycotoxins.

My dog Monty suffered from health issues, from stomach problems to irritated skin. After many vet visits, the only solution was to stop feeding him standard highly-processed dog foods, which contain glycotoxins (aka Advanced Glycation End-products).

Pet food research often tests for just 1-2 AGEs and then concludes (with limited/no evidence) that it exists in “safe amounts”. By banning foods with high levels of these chemical compounds, we’ll improve the health and welfare of pets in the UK.
