In recent years the City of Orlando has seen tremendous growth of disc golfers of all skill level using existing Airport Lakes Park and Bill Frederick Park courses.

BeTheDisc has proposed disc golf as an addition to the Southport Village area, we feel there can be several unique options based on the future of the Southport neighborhood growth. Focusing on underutilized areas first, we see potential for a course that will provide a fun, safe challenge for players of all ages and skill levels, while keeping traffic away from the busier sections of the park such as the baseball diamonds and playground.

Many people assume disc golf courses need a lot of space and that's true for a competition level pro course, but a smaller foot print disc golf course can be built on 4-6 acres that offers a challenging technical layout enjoyable by players of all skill levels and ages!
