Canada holds 25% of the world's fresh water resources, so why do so many First nations communities still not have access to clean, safe drinking water? It's the year 2022, and this is CANADA, not a third world country. 

Over SIX years ago the Truth & Reconciliation Commission in Canada issued call-to-action #19 which called upon the federal government to address inequities in health outcomes including access to basic health needs like clean water. Since then the Canadian Government still has not resolved this issue. 

Why is it that our Government can afford to smash 3.4 million dollar pipelines through First Nations communities but it cannot find the funding to ensure we have clean drinking water? Many of our communities water systems potentially contain harmful bacteria or even pollutants like mercury, arsenic and uranium.

Clean Safe drinking water here in Canada is Considered a BASIC human right, are we the Indigenious peoples of Canada not considered Human by our Government ?
