As a loyal Tesla owner who recently experienced this firsthand, I believe it is crucial for Tesla to acknowledge their obligation towards preserving the value of our investments.

Personal Story:
On August 31st, 2023, I purchased a brand new Tesla Model S Plaid after being forced into lemon law due to persistent issues with my previous vehicle. The decision to invest in another Tesla was not an easy one, but I believed in the company's commitment to innovation and sustainability. However, just eight hours after purchasing my new car at full price, I was shocked to discover that Tesla had reduced its sales price by a staggering $23,000.

This sudden and significant drop in price left me feeling deceived and undervalued as a customer. It not only undermined my trust in the company but also severely impacted the residual value of my newly acquired vehicle. This experience has led me to question whether future customers will face similar situations or if there are measures in place to protect them from such drastic fluctuations.

Petition Objective:
We urge Tesla Inc., as an industry leader committed to customer satisfaction and environmental progress, to recognize their responsibility towards preserving the residue value of their customers' cars. We understand that pricing adjustments may be necessary from time-to-time; however, we request that these adjustments be made responsibly and without causing substantial financial harm or devaluation for recent buyers.

Proposed Solution:
If Tesla continues making major sales price adjustments exceeding 10%, we kindly ask them to implement a policy wherein they promise refunds for customers who purchased vehicles within two months prior to any such adjustment. This refund should cover the difference between their purchase price and the adjusted lower price, ensuring that customers are not unfairly burdened by sudden and significant price drops.
