On the fateful day of August 5th, 2017, the community of Dar Al-Farooq Center in Bloomington, MN was attacked by a group of domestic terrorists. The perpetrators arrived at Dar al-Farooq in the early morning hours of August 5, 2017, broke the window of the imam’s office and threw gasoline and diesel fuel inside. They then lit a pipe bomb that exploded, causing extensive fire damage.

By the grace of God since then the community has been able to rebuild and bounce back much stronger. However, we need your help to fight Islamophobia in all forms. We are preparing a petition to the city of Bloomington to recognize August 5th as DFC/Islamophobia Day.

This would contribute greatly to the healing of our community, and it would honor this community’s resilience, strength, and ongoing contributions to the city of Bloomington and all of Minnesota. The Muslims and their supporter's voices are more important now more than ever.
