The Offside Rule is wrong and is negatively effecting our beloved game. 

With the introduction of VAR to many goals are being disallowed over tedious offside decisions. 

I suggest the rule be changed globally so that the attacking players 'offside line' is from the front point of his planted foot (usually his toe) as opposed to the current law of the offside line being from the closest part of his body to the oppositions goal that he can legally touch the ball with. 

The defenders line stays at its current point (the closest part of his body he could legally touch the ball with.) 

As a player of the game I know that attackers unconsciously time their runs from their planted foot not from their shoulders or heads which they are currently getting penalised for. 

This seems like a very natural rule change to make. It would dramatically decrease the amount of goals chalked off for marginal offsides whilst keeping a clear line from a player being offside or onside. 

This would have a positive effect on the game as everybody wants to see more goals. Which in turn will be positive for the sports popularity globally. 

Ask yourself should the player in the picture be given offside ???
