Des Hasler is the heart and soul of Manly. He has put his blood, sweat and tears into this great team and he doesn’t deserve the treatment he is getting. With all the injuries and controversies this year, he didn’t stand a chance of landing Manly in a position that would help his job at the club. 

After supporting Manly for the best part of 30 years, this will leave not just me, but all of us empty and not heard as a supporter base. The treatment of this situation is juvenile and needs to stop. 

We all have to agree that we want Des Hasler as the long term coach at Manly and bringing in an assistant (or succession plan, as condescending as that is) is not the answer. 

Let’s fight for our great club. Let’s fight for our great coach.

This will probably fall on deaf ears, though I’d like each and every one of you heard, so maybe, just maybe, the club will at least see what the supporters are thinking. Without the supporters, there is no club.
