Hello, I am Özgür Akbaba, a doctor from Turkey. I started this petition with the information I got from my colleagues in the earthquake zone. Our biggest shortcoming right now is MEDICINE.

There are thousands of injured in the earthquake area. The hospitals are full, beyond their capacity... Our healthcare professionals and doctor colleagues working in the region say that they cannot help enough due to the lack of medicines and supplies...

The doctors of the region and the doctors who volunteer and come from other cities are working with all their strength, but medicine, medical supplies, surgical materials are missing!

There are hundreds of volunteer doctors, NO MEDICINE, NO MATERIALS!

Pharmaceutical companies, medical device and medical equipment companies should send FREE drugs and materials to the region as soon as possible.

Companies should act in coordination with the Ministry of Health and donate missing medicines and materials to hospitals in need, free of charge, and deliver them to the necessary health institutions ASAP. Today is the day to prioritise human life, not corporate profits.

If these shortcomings are not addressed urgently, they will cause hundreds of thousands more to die, become disabled or suffer!
