College football is in disarray with Oklahoma, Texas, USC, and UCLA bailing on their conferences.

The problems addressed in this petition:

1. The Pac-10 and ACC are left on the outside looking in as a group of high quality programs in desirable media markets. The ACC is currently locked into a media grant of rights that pays them peanuts compared to the Big10 and SEC. That grant of rights can only be broken if a majority of the 14 ACC teams vote to dissolve the conference.
2. Amazon and Apple would like to enter the sports streaming world. Notre Dame and NBC are connected to an ACC that is dying relative to the two huge conferences.

Here's a multi-step petition to help some of the remaining teams keep up:

1. Amazon, Apple, and NBC (and ESPN/Fox/CBS if they want in) partner up to create a conference consisting of the 16 most desireable teams from the East and West Coasts. Amazon/Apple will be selling subscriptions in the largest media markets on both coasts. NBC and Notre Dame have great scheduling opportunities built in to every season, and Notre Dame will remain independent, wealthy, and affiliated with a strong conference for scheduling purposes.
2. Clemson, Florida State, North Carolina, Miami, Virginia, Syracuse, Duke, and Pittsburgh combine as a majority of the ACC to vote out the ACC's grant of rights.
3. These 8 teams join Washington, Oregon, Utah, Colorado, Cal, Stanford, Arizona, and Arizona State to form a 16 team conference. 
   1. Conference consists of huge media markets on both coasts (FL, NC, NY, VA, Pittsburgh, etc with Pheonix, Denver, San Francisco, Seattle, etc).
   2. Conference contains recent champion Clemson, recent playoff participants Oregon and Washington, recent NY6 participant Utah, long time blue blood FSU, and Ralphie the Buffalo.
   3. Teams play 7 games within their division (true round robin) and 2 against the other division (one home and one on the road). The road games occur on two "Atlantic vs Pacific" weekends. 
   4. 11 of the 16 teams are in the AAU. 12 of the 16 are in the top 100 of the US News university rankings.
4. The 16 teams decide on a name for their new conference
   1. PACATAC (pronounced Pack-Attack, PACificATlanticAthleticConference)
   2. PAAC (Pacific Atlantic Athletic Conference)
   3. APAC (Atlantic Pacific Athletic Conference)

5. The conference has great inventory for games in teach time slot. It can easily run games from 10 AM to 10 PM Eastern time. There is a top game for the networks each week as well as excellent options for the streaming services. There are even good options for the late night time slot.
