Over 80,000 Uber and Lyft drivers were on the cusp of getting a desperately needed raise as the City voted to increase the rates the companies have to pay us on every trip. Heartless Uber sued to stop it. Uber admits in court papers that it is charging riders 48% more today compared to 2019 but when the city ordered Uber to pay drivers more to cover the cost of inflation - Uber claimed it will go broke.  We put our lives on the line and kept Uber afloat during a pandemic. We are at risk of robbery, assault and even death everyday on the job. Instead of respecting our hard work, Uber uses the profits it made off our backs to steal our raise. We are fighting back and ask you to support us.

For drivers and for all Americans, bread and milk are the most expensive they have been in the last 40 years. Meanwhile, for drivers, car expenses have gone up even more.  In the New York City region, car-related costs went up 250% more than household costs. Gasoline doubled this summer compared to 2018, the year our payment rates are based on.  In fact, Uber enacted a gas surcharge in other cities, but in NYC, they refused.  And now they are blocking our modest but life-sustaining raise.

Please take a pledge to BOYCOTT UBER if you are a rider, or STRIKE if you are a driver.

Our strikes and actions will continue until victory.  Our next Strike is on January 5th, along with a Protest outside Uber's corporate headquarters.  This strike and protest are for our raise and for our respect.  

Without us - the drivers and the riders - there is no Uber.  Stand with us to make Uber feel our pain, our pressure and our power.  Take the Pledge:  BOYCOTT UBER! SUPPORT THE UBER STRIKE! They don’t see our humanity. Don’t let them see their profits.
