The Hurricane Stars Community Hub is a new Brisbane City Council approved development in Karawatha. It consists of an aquatic centre, community centre, multipurpose hall, ladies gym, gymnasium, allied health centre, restaurant, and a childcare centre. The programs of the different centres will work together in coordinated and consistent programs for all ages, instead as independent centres.

Our center will engage all members of the community but particularly: women, youth, culturally diverse community, the inactive and the disabled. By providing them a safe space and breaking down barriers by offering three different types of consistent programs: female only, males only and general sessions(during kids classes). As increasing levels of obesity, chronic illness and mental health issues are creating greater challenges for the community. We will address these challenges by offering programs for adults, as much as for children, to engage all community members.

Providing a fun safe space for the community to meet, have fun, exercise, share their skills in community programs and participate in education and employment. The hub will offer a wide variety training courses and provide work experience in diverse areas across the different centres.
