Recent months there are many break-in in communities suburbs. Business owner and home owner are targeted at quiet area and in early hours in the morning. This affect Australian communities and business owner. As a business owner all our restaurants have been broken into many times in Melbourne CBD City and recently our Doncaster shop was also broken-in.Spoken with our neighbours and business owners around our shop, they have raise concern about their safety and would which to see more police presence in the suburbs.

For the year ending Sep 2022, there was a 7% increase (90 Incidents) in total criminal incidents compared with the previous year.
The number of criminal incidents of Burglary increase by 29% from 2021 to 157 criminal incidents in the year ending Sep 2022.
The number of criminal incidents of Theft increase by 11% from 2021 to 519 criminal incidents in the year ending Sep 2022.
The number of criminal incidents of Robbery increase by 67% from 2021 to 15 criminal incidents in the year ending Sep 2022.

We therefore ask the House to increases in Federal funding and the growth of criminal justice education resulted in the rapid development of research on policing. Police patrols are organise and constitute an essential part of the services of a police department. Increase these patrols include both foot and vehicle patrols in ALL suburbs. This will increase community confidence with the governments and local council during the upcoming election.

After the lockdowns, we as the business owners are on the recovery to rebuild Melbourne economic and support the growth.  A wave of terrifying home invasion and carjackings linked to youths and gang member has becoming serious public concern for Victorian. Melbourne was once ranked as most liveable city on the planet has lost its fame as public security an continually worsen. We need our voices and appeal to be heard, we need to see actual result of our government tacking down the issue of crime, more than some empty promises that was given. We do not want to be afraid of carjacking and beaten up with assaulted weapon as we drive off work, we do not want to be fearing for our safety at our own home where we suppose to be safe. This is why we all need to step out and sign this petition begging our government to tackle the issue of increasing crime rate, and face the problem of insufficient police force has brought down on Victoria.
