This is a petition to STOP Pets at home from selling unsuitable products and for giving false information to their staff and customers:

1. Pets at home sell unsuitable bedding, such as sawdust for hamsters which is UNSAFE.

2. Pets at home get their animals from UNSAFE places, where the animals are bred and kept in awful conditions. For example, from rodent mills.

3. Pets at home sell cages that are too small and are under the UK reccomended minimum size. Their cages are also designed to appeal to young children, which means many aren't practical or suitable for small pets and are much too small.

4. Pets at home sell rodent wheels that are much too small and are below the minimum requirements for each animal. For example, hamster wheels marketed specifically towards Syrian hamsters are much too small and can cause an arched spine and other health issues. 

5. Pets at home sell unsafe 'toys and chew toys' for small animals. These are made from unsafe materials that can be seriously dangerous for small animals, especially if ingested.

6. Pets at home do not train their staff correctly on the proper care of the animals in which they sell. This means that staff pass on false information to customers, who then take their animal home, and care for them incorrectly due to the advice they received from a Pets at home staff member.

7. Pets at home market animals such as Russian dwarf hamsters as living in groups. However, this is false information as hamsters are solitary animals. The risks caused by giving this false information, can lead to injury and even death of these hamsters. This also can cause distress and upset for the owner of the animals which in most cases are children.

Pets at home need to STOP selling these unsafe products. They need to STOP selling animals that are forced to breed with their own brothers/sisters in awful conditions, which ultimately causes underlying health issues and birth deformities.

Let's put a STOP to this and ensure that Pets at home do things right and sell appropriate products and appropriately bred animals, or not at all.
