The Sinti and Roma Memorial in Berlin faces imminent danger as the Deutsche Bahn is putting pressure on the Berlin Senate to approve a new S-Bahn line.

This new S21 metro line will cut down crucial trees integral to Dani Karavan's artistic vision, thus permanently damaging the memorial.

It’s the moral obligation of the German People to find an alternative solution for the itinerary of the S21 line and make sure this sacred monument is not touched. 

We must unite and reject this proposal, which irreversibly destroys the Sinti and Roma Memorial, dishonoring the victims, survivors, their descendants and German society's commitment to remembering past crimes.
