I believe writer George Noory has a racist article published at:

In this article, Sports Are Good for America... No Doubt About It!, Noory compares the oppression of Native Americans, African slaves, African Americans, Mexican Americans, and others to Minnie Mouse. 

He says minorities who want to take down slave owner statues need to take a lesson in U.S. history!  As if minorities don't already learn history in school.

Noory makes it sound like race issues are taking away national sports.  But no one ever said that respecting minorities will end sports in America.  He justifies racist team names, claiming child fans (white child fans) could not adjust to a new team name.  I think a Native American child, Mexican American child or African American child might adjust very positively to culturally respectful team names.  

The following verbatim article from Newsmax/www.newsmax.com )9/8/2020) is unacceptable.  Make him take it down:

How do you explain to your 11-year-old that his favorite NFL football team is going to get rid of their multiyear name? Well, Amazon has now pulled all pieces of merchandise that have "Washington Redskins" on them ... and it is all but done now that the team will be changing their name.
 
One can't help but wonder the fate of the Cleveland Indians team name! Never mind the Chicago Blackhawks!
Have we become so silly as human beings that every little name, symbol, or title bothers us because of a so-called element that is offensive?

Hey, why not change Minnie Mouse's name ... after all, it offends the mice that are smaller in size, and there is no way animal lovers could put up with that ... right?

Maybe we just need to chill a little.

Professional sports is something we need in our world. How many kids would not get the thrill of experiencing their first NHL game? How many kids would be deprived of having a hero to look up to? How many kids would not get a chance to experience a 7th-inning stretch and sing "Take Me out to the Ball Game"?

Having sports is a necessity for many Americans. The camaraderie between families, children, friends and even strangers that comes with attending professional sporting events is needed and would be sorely missed if there were no professional sports.

Sports is something we need in our world. It's good for kids, it's good for families ... it's good for America!"

George Noory, scarcity of national sports during the pandemic is not caused by minorities. The oppression minorities have suffered is in no way comparable to Minnie Mouse.  Take down your racist rant!
