Why this petition matters

We are concerned about the proposed removal of trees on the way into Bright, Victoria. These trees are a vital part of our town's natural beauty, and their removal would greatly diminish the area's aesthetic appeal.

We urge the Alpine Shire  to consider alternative solutions, to achieve the desired outcomes while preserving their beauty and value. Community engagement and collaboration are essential in this process. The trees removed will make way for potentially 3 driveways and at this time no definitive number has been put forth by council

Please reconsider the proposal to remove the trees and work with the community to find a solution that balances the needs of the community with the preservation of the natural environment

By signing this petition we are voicing our opposition to the removal of the trees at the entrance of Bright , that are supposedly going to be removed for the new estate being built . Please include your email address and postcode when signing ( council requirement for accepting online petitions , and please share !! Please also email Sonya Kilkenny , minister for heritage and ask for an emergency heritage order for our trees
