The school traffic zone for Gene Witt Elementary is currently approx. 860 feet long.  For all local residences we know that traffic volumes have increased significantly over the past three years and traffic safety is a real concern.

This petition is to help bring attention to the dangers our neighborhood kids and families face every day in this area.  We are recommending the school zone be expanded to incorporate a longer stretch of road and walkways that are now in place since Del Tierra, Rye Wilderness and the new Coddington community have grown in size and volume.

There is a need for a real solution to the growing volumes on Rye rd, this is just one important step at keeping our Children safer.
