The Pegula's as owners of the Buffalo Bills football team are seeking to build a new stadium at a cost of approximately $1.4 billion dollars. With a net worth estimated at $5 billion, the Pegula's are seeking to have taxpayers contribute several hundred million dollars towards the stadium cost.

Stadium negotiations between the Pegula's and government officials are occurring behind closed doors. The financial discussions are based on a cost study completed by the Pegula's, which has not been released to the public.

We are signing this petition in support of the New York Coalition For Open Government's request for the following items:

1) Releasing the stadium study done by the Pegula's to the public;

2) Providing the public the opportunity to be heard in public meetings held at various times and locations prior to any agreement being voted on by the Erie County Legislature and the New York State Legislature.

3) Calling upon Governor Kathy Hochul, Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz, members of the Erie County Legislature and members of the New York State Legislature as our elected representatives, to publicly support the two items stated in this petition.
