Demand Salary Transparency in APA Job Postings!

As community planners, we are dedicated to making our communities stronger and more equitable. To do our jobs effectively and sustain our work, we need transparency in our profession—starting with fair and clear compensation.

Right now, many organizations and job boards, including the American Planning Association (APA), allow job postings without salary information. This lack of transparency makes it harder for us to advocate for ourselves and for the future of our field.

Lack of salary information disproportionately impacts women and people of color and perpetuates the wage gap. Plus multiple states have already passed legislation that requires compensation transparency.

Join your fellow community planners in asking the APA to take action. We are calling on them to require salary ranges on all job postings.
