The Lynah Rink at Cornell University is a historic building that was built in the early 1950's and has been used for Cornell hockey games, public skating, and other recreational activities. 

Lynah Rink is currently only open for public skating during weekday class hours, Monday through Thursday (12:00pm-1:00pm, 11:45am-12:45pm on Tuesday), which makes it difficult for students who have classes during those times to be able to access this space. Additionally, many students are unable to attend public skating due to their commitments with  work or other extracurricular activities. This petition calls upon the Athletic Department at Cornell University and its Division of Campus Recreation Services to open Lynah Rink for public skating on weekends and after class hours so that all students can have equal access.
