NBA Fans around the world �  its time to change personal Foul Rules.

Currently it is 6 Fouls & you are disqualified from playing in the game anymore.

In college basketball it is 5 Fouls and you are disqualified. 

These are arbitrary #s that MUST BE CHANGED BC IT IS RUINING THE GAME..

HERES WHY...

Refs are not perfect & 90% of the public often feel Refs are cheating & influencing games & the current system allows for it & here's how.

 

In the playoffs.. a ref can give a star player 2 quick early fouls & that player is out of the game...  it allows a Ref who is a bad actor to influence outcome..

The other issue is Refs in NBA are best in the biz but it's arbitrary & a really tough job. Calls are missed all the time. Bad calls, wrong calls happen & changing the rules will allow the best players on each team to be able to compete at the highest level on both ends of floor.

Often a player gets 2 Fouls early on & if they stay in, they literally will play no defense.  Teams will change gameplan based on foul trouble w attacking a player in.foul trouble.

And biggest reason this rule needs changed is FLOPPING. the NBA has a bad acting problem & the refs often fall for these flops. It's a bang bang call & NBA has tried to clean it up but Flopping is still a Major problem...

Refs often get tricked & by raising to 8 Fouls instead of 6 would fix these issues.

 

Also the NBA already has Flagrant foul & Technical foul ejections in place so raising to 8 Fouls instead of 6 would not lead to harder Fouls or possible injury to players.

 

There literally is no downside what so ever.

 

The fans want the best players on the court deciding the games outcome. Not a referree making bad calls or buying flops by opponents in determining who wins the game.

 

That  is why NBA board of governors or NBA commissioner Must change this rule.

7 personal Fouls is NOT enough either. There would still be possibilities of Refs making bad calls & adding not 1x but 2x extra Fouls before fouling out is what is required.

 

It will allow for better Defense & not allow NBA regs to influence the games w bad calls. 

 

The NBA Fans deserve to see the best players in the world competing at the highest level. This will fix the problem.

 

With that said I went back & reviewed every single player who fouled out of a game last season.  There was a Flop or a flat out bad call on over 93% of the players who fouled out of a gm...

 

With Fans paying top dollar to see the best players in the world, the league needs to stop allowing NBA refs from determining & influencing  outcomes of gms by giving 2 Fouls early on.

 

And let's face it.. 50 years ago when rules were made to have 6 Fouls & you are out.. You did not have Flopping.  Which has become an epidemic at this point , & by increasing the foul out limit to 8, it will fix alot of the problems w Refs influencing the outcome of games.

 

There is no downside at all to increasing limit to 8 Fouls.  I truly believe 1x extra foul is not enough. It must be 2x extra Fouls bc of all the Flopping.
