We’ve come to a pivotal moment in our nation and change must happen. Our children of all ages are being immersed in violence daily. It’s in the homes, schools, after school programs, neighborhoods and communities. Our children are being bullied, sex trafficked, stabbed, shot, murdered, abandoned, suffering from severe depression and anxiety. Per statistics 90% of children in the US attend public school. In 1963 prayer and Bible was removed from public schools at the Supreme Court level. Almost 6 decades later we have seen a spike in violence of all sorts in our public school system throughout the US. November 2, 2022 a Code Red meeting was held in Gwinnett county to find a solution to the mass gun violence, stabbings, threats and out of control issue within our schools at hand. 

Per CDC In Georgia, 57% of gun deaths are suicides and 40% are homicides. This is compared to 61% and 36% respectively, nationwide.
In Georgia, firearm deaths have climbed by 31.0% from 2015 to 2020 – the 11th largest increase among states.

The current firearm mortality rate in Georgia, meanwhile, ranks as the 15th highest among states, at 17.7 deaths for every 100,000 people

As a disciple of Christ, Notary of Georgia and mentor for the community I’ve heard some of the most diabolical stories that no child should ever have to experience. As an adult from South Atlanta who has been enrolled in just about every county school system in Georgia, I myself have experienced and seen danger at a young age. I recognize the danger our children are in and it must be stopped. 

The only way to protect our future is to invite God back in through the living word and prayer back into our schools. We must go back to discipline and structure. In our homes first, schools, neighborhoods, communities and overall nation. Our children need the village and community to rally together in prayer for the saving of their souls. One Nation under God. This is not about a religion but about the truth and principles this very nation was built upon. Prayer is not unconstitutional it is the right given to all humans as we are all children of God. We call to action all parents, children, neighbors, teachers, staff, communities and leaders of Georgia to allow prayer and Bible back into our schools. If we don’t implement the foundations in which this nation was built upon; soon our nation will not exist due to senseless killings of our children. The children are the future but we won’t have a future at the rate of morality decline.
