Why this petition matters

Started by Majid Hawa

It has and is becoming a serious problem among our youth, unemployed generation that have access to social media, mobile apps, they are targeted by gambling companies making millions, if not billions and leading people to very bad debts, drugs and suicide.

Most of the high profile people promoting these products are current or past football managers such as Harry Redknapp, Jose Mourinho to name a few. They are not in any financial difficulty but are causing misery to many, many millions. They and other prominent sports and media personalities are role models and causing untold damage when they surely don't need these funds.

I plead to all the promoters of these gambling adverts, stop putting them on billboards around football matches and other locations nationwide.

Please be a "role model" we can be proud to look up to. Please don't encourage this trade but join us in banning it. The gaming companies earn millions out of poor people's misery.
