ALLEGATIONS:

On October 23, 2022 SBS (Seoul Broadcasting System) shared a video online allegedly showing physical and verbal abuse by a staff member of SPIRE Entertainment.  The video can be seen here:  https://youtu.be/gCKrNB2AyiY Reportedly, the staff member is actually the CEO of SPIRE Entertainment.

Earlier in October, another individual claimed that her mom had witnessed a woman repeatedly yelling at the Omega_X members in public in Chile.  According to the post on Twitter, her mother first witnessed the woman yelling at two members at the hotel, then yelling at them again in front of everyone at the airport, where she attempted to stop the woman from continuing.

SPIRE Entertainment released a statement saying that “the members and the agency have currently resolved all their misunderstandings” and that they will be moving forward while being “considerate of each other.”

KOREAN SYSTEM OF TRAINING:

In Korea, there is a system of training put in place for aspiring musicians.  Most musicians go through years of training, including monthly assessments, rigorous physical and vocal training, language lessons, musical instrument lessons, business training, and more.  This training isn’t free, and most musicians are left with a large debt after their debut.  Trainees can begin their training at a very young age (9+) and if they are talented enough to debut, they usually debut between the ages of 14-19.  Once they debut, some groups are then disbanded, and again, if the musicians are talented, they are sometimes offered another chance at debut with another group.

Each of the members of Omega_X have debuted before they came together as their current group.  These young men were talented enough to be recognized and brought together as Omega_X.  Each of them have had extensive training, giving years of dedication to show their talents to their fans (known as For_X). The group debuted on June 30, 2021.

RECIPIENTS OF PETITION:

The first, the Korea Creative Content Agency, a Korean governmental agency that oversees and coordinates the promotion of the Korean content industry.  The United States office is located at 5509 Wiltshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90036.  The Director is Sung Ho Ju.

The second, is the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency located at 31 Sajik-ro 8-gil, Jongno-gu, Seoul, 03169, Korea (Since they do not have an email address readily accessible, their superiors will be contacted at the Korean National Police Agency)

The Los Angeles Police Department has jurisdiction over any allegations of abuse that may have taken place at the venue for their LA concert, the allegations of disorderly conduct at the hotel (a police report was made and police were on the scene), as well as any other potential altercations within the area.
